Awajun Community Center in Nieva.
The Awajún Community Center is envisioned as a spatial framework rooted in the intelligence of the Amazon and the collective life of its people. Rather than introducing an external architectural language, the project is shaped by local knowledge—responding to climate, material availability, and the rhythms of community life.
The structure is conceived as open, flexible, and incremental. It accommodates gatherings, learning, and everyday activities, while allowing for future adaptation as needs evolve. Construction relies on locally sourced materials and vernacular techniques, reinforcing both environmental and cultural continuity.
More than a building, the project operates as a platform for exchange and resilience. It supports the transmission of knowledge across generations and strengthens the relationship between community, territory, and forest.

We take on a limited number of projects each year. If your project aligns with our approach, we'd be glad to hear from you.
