[Exhibition] The Forest of Words and River of Memories: The Kukama Community

From June 14 to 16, 2024, the exhibition “The Forest of Words and River of Memories: The Kukama Community” was held. The exhibition not only highlighted the Preservation Center of Kukama Language project, but also revealed the construction process that led to its creation, the interactions among participants and the way of life of the Kukama community, providing an immersive and enriching experience for visitors.

To represent the perspective, we had when we traveled to the Amazon in Nauta, Peru.

To connect different parts of the world and convey the sensations that our Japanese students experienced.

To be part of the construction and participate with the Kukama community.

So that visitors can be part of their experience in a closer way.

In that sense, we can feel proud of what we have done together for the others.

Hoping to have sparked curiosity about the efforts of our brothers on the other side of the world.
